Hello codecrafters! I want to play around with some of the new reflection features in C++26, and GCC version 16 has good support for it. GCC 16.2 was released in August. Any chance you could update the GCC version for the runners?
Thanks for the suggestion @OskarSigvardsson Will update the runners in the coming week.
I’ve upgraded the C++ runners to use GCC 16.2
To use reflection feature, you need to make two changes in CMakeLists.txt:
set(CMAKE_CXX_STANDARD 23) # Enable the C++23 standard
+set(CMAKE_CXX_STANDARD 26) # Enable the C++26 standard (needed for reflection)
file(GLOB_RECURSE SOURCE_FILES src/.cpp src/.hpp)
-add_executable(interpreter ${SOURCE_FILES})
+add_executable(interpreter ${SOURCE_FILES})
+target_compile_options(interpreter PRIVATE -freflection)
