# Question about vt6: Why do we need to include the DescribeTopicPartitionss api key in the APIVersions response?

Why do we need to include the DescribeTopicPartitionss api key in the APIVersions response?  
Do we just include all supported API keys?

Hey @tpcm, did you mean stage **#yk1 Include DescribeTopicPartitions in APIVersions**?

Yes, exactly. Here’s an example from a real Kafka broker for reference:
