# Issue with codecrafters cli update

I’m having a problem updating the CLI on Mac. I curl and run the install script successfully and authenticate as sudo and the install appears to have updated the version (to 44) but running `codecrafters –-version`returns the old version I had installed (v39).

Hey @Tomnowell, could you try the following steps?

1. Run `which codecrafters` to check where the CLI is installed
2. Manually delete that file
3. Re-run the install script

Let me know how it goes!
