Hi everyone,

I’ve been a CodeCrafters member for almost a year, although I haven’t used the platform nearly as much as I had hoped. I realized that I needed to strengthen my C programming skills before tackling the challenges properly.

I really like the CodeCrafters approach, and I’m now working on the Shell challenge in C. I definitely want to continue learning through these projects.

However, my annual membership expires in about a month, and I’m considering my options. Given the uncertainty about the platform’s future development, that’s a significant commitment for me.

I’d be interested to hear how other members are approaching this:

- **Existing subscribers:** Are you planning to renew, switch to a shorter subscription, or take a break?

- **Free users:** How much can you accomplish without a paid membership?

- **Former subscribers:** Have you found good ways to continue working on the challenges independently?

- **GitHub users:** Has anyone tried using the publicly available stage descriptions, starter code, and test repositories to continue learning locally?

I’ve noticed the recent extensions and the encouraging comments from the new CTO, which is great to see!

I’m not questioning the quality of CodeCrafters. Quite the opposite: I think the challenges are excellent, and I’d genuinely like to keep using them. I’m simply trying to find a sustainable way to continue learning.

I’d love to hear your experiences and suggestions.

Thanks!

Michel
